Yes, I am still here...just not into daily reports. I will try to do it more than twice a year, however. My recipe scrapbook is still a work in progress. It looks like it will not be ready for Christmas this year. I have collected several more stories from family members that need to be written up for little sidebars on some of the pages. I also plan to include photos of finished foods, family members making or eating various items, etc. I have already scanned in copies of recipe cards in our parents handwriting and terrible typing over the past 60 years. Its a fun project and since its a work in progress, I am still open to ideas for presentation of the pages.
So if you happen to come across this page and have some ideas, please feel free to share!
BTW, I added a bunch of recipe related scrapbook papers and stickers, etc. to my wish list for Christmas. Now, you can add stuff from any store on your Amazon wish list! Very cool.
I love paper: I love working with it, looking at it, buying it, organizing it, learning about it, feeling it. This has morphed into scrapbooking, decorating journals, and making greeting cards where I have been able to really let my creativity and passion for paper come alive.

Scrapbooking with Recipes
Hi Everybody, Welcome to Day 1 of my blog. While I expect I will be covering lots of topics, today I want to focus on one of my huge projects.
I am writing a cookbook of family favorites of my extended family, and I want to include stories, pictures, etc. in a digital or hybrid scrapbook that all family members can share. I have the recipes in a consistent format on the computer. (There are over 200 recipes.) Now I have to start putting the stories and pictures along with graphics, etc. onto the pages.
I would be thrilled if you would share your ideas and sample pages of scrapbooking you have done with family recipes. I will post some them on this site if you would like to share them with the other paper people.
In the meantime, here are a couple of recipes that I made for my Scrapbooking Crop that were well received:
